Toronto office furniture manufacturer, Tayco is proud to announce they have again officially been certified as a Great Place to Work®! Following an independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada, Tayco was awarded the certification in recognition of its exceptional workplace culture. It is the second consecutive year the company has achieved this certification, with their first certification in February, 2020.
With Team Members from over 41 countries, Tayco’s innovative workplace policies provide an exceptional workplace and enjoyable culture that not only brings its diverse workforce together, but also results in Team Members that are more engaged and invested in their careers with Tayco. These efforts that foster a positive workplace culture also result in Team Members that are more likely to be champions of the brand and provide the exceptional Customer service that is integral to Tayco’s business.
“Being certified as a Great Place to Work® two years in a row is a tremendous reflection on our strong company culture, thorough safety practices and exceptional enjoyable experiences for all our Team Members,” says Tayco CEO Kevin Philips. “This past year our production Employees safely worked throughout the pandemic, while many of our office Employees continued to work from home. Even while maintaining our distance, our employees grew closer without missing a beat.”
Nancy Fonseca, Senior Vice President of Great Place to Work® Canada, says that a great workplace is about the level of trust that employees experience in their leaders, the level of pride they have in their jobs, and the extent to which they enjoy their colleagues. “Our data shows that great workplaces benefit from stronger financial performance, reduced turnover, and better customer satisfaction than their peers. What’s more, work environments with trust at the foundation are ripe for innovation, agility, resilience and efficiency,” Fonseca said.
Tayco employees thrive with over 10 Social Committee events per year, an active Engagement Committee, as well as a progressive Inclusion, Diversity and Accessibility Committee. Tayco is also a proud Employer partner of the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion as well as a signatory for the BlackNorth Initiative.
At Tayco each individual makes a large impact. Each month there are over 100 Team Member led improvements and the opportunity to learn and grow through professional development seminars. Finally, to foster Tayco’s involvement in the community, the company also offers one paid volunteer day per year, where Team Members can volunteer at a charity that is meaningful to them.
Tayco is thrilled to receive Great Place to Work® certification again and is dedicated to providing even more unique enjoyable experiences for their Team Members.
