Lighting Associates Inc. Case Study

The Challenge

Lighting Associates Inc., a Georgia-based architectural lighting sales agency, recently outfitted their entire office with Tayco’s newest office panel system, Switch.  Working with Tayco authorized dealer, Office Furniture Resources, and the Tayco space planning team, Lighting Associates Inc. chose the optimal configuration and finishes for their 41 new stations.

The Solution

Stations were laid out in “U” shaped pods of 2, 4 and 8 in order to maximize working area for all employees. Fabric panels, finished in F6232 Momentum’s Meander Night Shadow, were 42” high to fit along side the Switch statement gallery panel in L152 Summer Drop. 1″ thick laminate gallery panels were used as a fantastic way to reduce the workstations overall footprint. Frameless, frosted glass was selected to mount on top of each panel to help allow natural light to flow through the office without eliminating privacy.

Each employee station was also equipped with ample storage and worksurface space. Low credenzas were finished in L121 White laminate to seamlessly match with the signature Switch white metal pedestal. Metal pedestals provide users with a cost saving option without losing the look and feel of an elevated space.

Additionally, worksurfaces were made with 1” cropped depth wire play to accommodate wire management without the use of grommets. These surfaces were finished in L155 Silver Moon to provide a slight contrast against the storage.

The Result

Overall, Switch elevated the space with it’s modern design features and versatile layouts. The finishes and configurations chosen created the optimal working space for the Lighting Associates Inc. team.
