The Challenge
Empire Flooring, a rapidly growing flooring and carpet installation company in Saratoga Springs, UT, collaborated with Tayco’s Dealer Main Street Office Furniture to design and furnish their new office space. The task was to create an environment that reflected the building’s modern aesthetic, featuring large glass windows and high ceilings, while ensuring the furniture was both functional and adaptable to their expanding Team. Empire required private offices, a breakroom, a conference room and open office cubicles. Additionally, they needed ample storage for their flooring samples and workstations that fostered collaboration, while still offering the functionality of a private office.
The Solution
To create functional and spacious meeting rooms that foster collaboration, they utilized Tayco’s Halifax A-Leg Meeting Tables. For the breakroom, a 42” table in Mojave melamine and vinyl with sleek black and copper accents provided an inviting space for casual meetings and employee interactions. In the conference room, a larger 120” Halifax A-Leg Table, finished in Southwestern melamine with Burnt Penny and black paint accents, ensured ample space for larger gatherings while maintaining a modern and durable design.
In the open office space, we implemented 12 Switch workstations that empower independence and collaboration. Twelve height-adjustable tables were also crafted in white melamine and vinyl with black filler paint, offered employees the flexibility to tailor their workstations to their needs. Mobile pedestals with pebble fabric cushions and tempered glass panel-mounted screens maintained a balance of privacy and openness, encouraging both individual focus and team collaboration.
Given Empire’s need for extensive storage for samples and tools, the 4 private offices were equipped with Halifax storage solutions. High credenzas, single storage cabinets, and under-desk storage in Mojave melamine and vinyl paired with black metal accents provided ample, organized space, ensuring that employees had everything they needed within reach while maintaining a sleek, cohesive office aesthetic.
The Result
The final office space at Empire Flooring successfully blended aesthetics with functionality. The tailored designs and high-quality finishes integrated seamlessly with the building’s modern features, creating a professional, cohesive environment. The balance of private offices, collaborative workstations, and meeting areas allowed Empire to optimize space without sacrificing comfort or style.
