A&C Plastics Case Study
The Challenge
A&C Plastics Inc, an established plastic distribution company was looking to outfit their new headquarters in Houston with stunning private office, boardroom and systems furnishings. The Wells Group, which works closely with Tayco as a Dealer Partner, took on a challenge for A&C Plastics, which requested their office have a clean, modern aesthetic. The Wells Group quickly offered Tayco as the right solution that would meet the client’s functional needs and stylistic wants.
The Solution
The Client’s first request was to create 18 impressive private offices using both Metro and Scene casegood lines. Tayco’s Commercial Space Designers got to work creating an office space with A&C Plastics’ desired products, that would operate smoothly and carry a modern aesthetic. The offices were given ample storage space so that A&C Plastics employees can feel organized while being productive. The Commercial Space Designers also incorporated space-saving “L” shaped worksurfaces, making the office functional and stylish. For finishes, A&C Plastics chose crisp white surfaces and laminate tiles in our fan favourite Southwester. Finally, they selected the Manhattan Brushed Nickle handles to complete their desired look.
Additionally, A&C Plastics required furnishings for two conference rooms, which our Commercial Space Design Team outfitted with Metro Boardroom tables. At 20 feet long, the boardroom tables create a space where A&C Plastics employees can hold meetings and partake in collaborative sessions. The finishes chosen for Metro Boardroom tables included a Southwester surface and a Moonlight base, which blended seamlessly with the rest of the office furnishings.
The A&C Plastics office space also features 48 workstations created using Tayco’s Switch panel system line and storage from Scene. To match with the private offices, white surfaces and Southwester laminate panels were chosen. Each panel includes a Frameless Blade for visual interest. Like the private offices, the new open office space was designed for maximum efficiency while offering on-trend aesthetics throughout the office.
The Result
This newly added furniture perfectly fits in with amenities this building offers such as a gym, basketball court outside, and an abundance of collaboration space. These office furniture pieces show the adaptability to fit the client’s design wants and needs without losing the required function. These components combined make an office space modern and sleek and, most importantly, an office that includes seamless functionality throughout.
